The poem is from Guang Daosheng

You and I ~GUAN Daosheng (Sung Dynasty)

"You and I are so crazy
about each other,
as hot as a potter's fire.
Out of the same chunk
of clay, shape a you,
shape a me. Crush us
both into clay again, mix
it with water, reshape
a you, reshape a me.
So, I have you in my body,
and you'll have me forever in yours, too."

Can someone find it?

Here is another lovely poem from Yuan Dynasty -

Quote:
And a nice English translation from this webpage -

Quote:
You and I
Have so much love,
That it
Burns like a fire,
In which we bake a lump of clay
Molded into a figure of you
And a figure of me
Then we take both of them,
And break them into pieces,
And mix the pieces with water,
And mold again a figure of you,
And a figure of me.
I am in your clay.
You are in my clay.
In life we share a single quilt.
In death we will share one coffin.

The translation, I believe, is by Qiu Xiaolong
